WordPress hosting or a cloud server?
Both services support online projects. The useful distinction is what you need to operate day to day.
Manage a website
Settings, plugins, themes, backups and migration.
Manage a server
Instance lifecycle, snapshots, networking and remote console.
01Start with the thing you are managing
For a WordPress website, explore hosting that groups website settings, plugins, themes and backups. For an application or business system that needs server-level configuration, explore cloud servers and their lifecycle, snapshot and network controls.
02Make operational responsibility explicit
Write down who will look after website changes, operating-system configuration and application administration. Do not assume that choosing a service includes every maintenance task. Confirm the scope of the plan and any additional support you need before ordering.
03Compare the available configuration
List your current website or application requirements. Then review the available resource options, charges, backup capabilities and access controls in Cloud Console. This guide deliberately does not reproduce prices that may vary with configuration.
04Plan an existing project before moving it
If you are bringing an existing WordPress website, make a current backup and check migration requirements. If you already operate an application, record its configuration and connected services before planning a move. Keep website, DNS and email changes coordinated.
