How cloud server resource pricing is calculated

A useful estimate starts with the configuration and the period you are buying, rather than a headline starting price.

01Record the three resources

Choose the location and record CPU cores, RAM in GB and disk in GB. Resource bounds and unit rates depend on the region currently available.

02Calculate the selected term

Multiply each resource quantity by its hourly unit rate and add the three amounts. A monthly reference covers 720 hours (30 days); a yearly reference covers 8,760 hours (365 days). The pricing calculator uses the current published rates.

03Separate the estimate from the order

An estimate helps compare configurations. Confirm the available image, service options and final term amount in Console before paying. Do not assume optional licenses or additional services are included.

04Choose around the application

Start from the software requirements and existing usage when available. Leave room for the workload you expect and review how it behaves after deployment. A resource example is not a guarantee of capacity or performance.

Keep exploring the details.
