Prepare an existing domain for transfer
Treat domain registration, website hosting and email as related services with separate settings. Moving one does not mean you should change all of them at once.
01Record what the domain connects to
Before starting, record the current DNS configuration and identify which records support your website, email and external services. Confirm that the people managing those services know about the planned transfer.
02Check both providers’ requirements
Review the transfer eligibility and required information with your current registrar and in the ACMMAX domain workflow. Requirements and available actions depend on the domain. Use the current provider instructions rather than a general checklist as your final reference.
03Review the order before confirming
Check the domain spelling, available transfer options, charges and any renewal information shown in Cloud Console. Confirm that you can access the relevant domain contact information and receive any required communication.
04Keep configuration changes deliberate
Review the transfer status and continue monitoring the existing website and email. Do not change DNS, website hosting or mail configuration solely because you are transferring the registration. Make each configuration change intentionally and verify the result.
